If You’re Ever Marooned on a Desert Isle

I’m loving how the sequel to The Girl Who Wrote on Water is coming along This week I’m working on Derya’s dark night of the soul, her mirror moment where she faces up to her failures.

Along the way I’ve had to do some research about how to survive if you’re marooned on an island in a cold climate. Did you know that dry grass or seaweed can be used as insulation under your clothes to help retain body heat? Now you know. If you’re ever in such a predicament, you can thank me.
